| The first Magical
History Tour for 2011 was an all-day boat trip from Rosslyn Bay Harbour
on the Freedom Fast cat, heading south as far as Port Alma and visiting
sites of historic interest such as the cemetery, quarantine station
and lighthouse at Curtis Island, and the old port of Broadmount in
the Fitzroy River. More than 100 people enjoyed the adventure.
Interest in this trip
was so strong that a waiting list for a possible second trip has
been created. If you would like to join us next time, put your name
on the waiting list now. Email

After almost
two years in temporary premises, the CCHS is looking forward to returning
later this year to its comfortable home in the Bunker at the rear
of the new Yeppoon Town Hall. Once we have a firm date for the homecoming,
a celebration will be finalized to mark the important occasion.
